Help enable students from Turkey's heartland in making their impact on the world and becoming global citizens by receiving an International Baccalaureate education at one of the prestigious United World Colleges.

In the aftermath of the Second World War in 1962, Kurt Hahn, a German philosopher, believed in the power of education and the hard work of the youth to create a future that is more peaceful and tolerant. In order to see his theory in practice, Hahn established the United World Colleges that brought students from all over the world to learn to share a common space and respect each other’s beliefs, thoughts and opinions.
A typical UWC today has around 200 students from over 60 different countries.
How do we select students to attend UWC from Turkey?
Turkish students attending UWC are chosen on the basis of merit following a rigorous three-stage selection process. We strive to find candidates from all over the country, who truly reflect its cultural, geographic and social diversity with strong academic records. This scholarship will specifically benefit a high school student from Turkey’s Anatolian region to gain a formidable education abroad.
The Turkish National Committee is raising funds to complete the scholarships of Turkish students attending UWCs across the world. The Committee strives to eliminate money from being an obstacle in the way of a brilliant student receiving a high quality education.
The lira's volatility and the coronavirus pandemic have hit many Turkish families hard. Our goal is to raise 30,000 Euros to help students attend the 2022-2023 academic year. Following a two-year education, majority of students go on to attend prestigious universities across the world with significant amount of scholarships.
After having been given the chance to develop better as a human, this is an effort to give back to the society. With your help, we want to give more students the same chance to learn, to grow and to come back and better their communities.
