Story
Each year, UNTHA UK makes a generous donation to a different worthy cause – usually around Christmas time. But this year, determined to make more of a phased impact, the company will band together over the coming months and dig deep for a charity committed to providing care and support to people living with any terminal illness, and their families.
From sponsored treks and bike rides to corporate events and bake sales, the team will cover all bases in its fundraising mission. A busy calendar of activities will be unveiled over the upcoming weeks, with something for each team member to get stuck into.
Following a company vote which invited every colleague to nominate their chosen beneficiary, Marie Curie stood out as the clear favourite among the group.
The organisation holds a special place in many of the team members’ hearts, including sales coordinator, Sarah Murray: “When my father was receiving palliative care, the Marie Curie nurses couldn’t do enough for us as a family. We will never be able to pay them back for the support they offered us when we needed it most, but UNTHA’s fundraising will allow me to say thank you and shine a spotlight on the amazing work they do.”
Managing director Marcus Brew added: “At UNTHA UK, we know that company success is about far more than commercial achievements – it’s also about the positive impact you have on the world around you,” explains managing director Marcus Brew. “We’re passionate about giving back to those who need it — and often such fundraising activities can bring the team closer together as a result. We’re looking forward to getting started for such a worthy cause.”
Marie Curie is the UK’s leading end of life charity, providing frontline nursing and hospice care, a free support line, and a wealth of information and support on all aspects of death and bereavement.
