Story
In these uncertain times foodbanks will be providing a much needed safety net for thousands of people.
It is undoubtedly appalling that there is food poverty in one of the richest countries in the world, but in lieu of an immediate solution we must do what we can to help.
Before the current crisis hit Southwark foodbank were running a fundraiser. The aim was to raise £2000 in time for Easter, and we think that we can raise this for them! The NHS London branch of UNISON have agreed to match every donation made through this page, up to £1000.
The foodbank in question helps residents of Southwark, the borough in which the majority of our members work.
This isn't just for members of UNISON however, please share this with anyone you think will be interested, especially colleagues who are based in Skipton House and Wellington House as these offices are in the borough of Southwark.
If any members based in Stewart House would like to organise something similar for a charity local to your office please get in touch with us on unison.nhslon@gmail.com
