Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
On the 12th May the Hull Section of the UK Border Force Dog Team along with their dogs are going to walk the 13 mile Whitby Walk for Macmillan Cancer Support.
In October 2011 one of our dog handlers Angie Holpin was diagnosed with breast cancer. Angie attended a Macmillan unit for her treatment and was assigned a dedicated Macmillan nurse who was available to her 24/7 for support and advice. Macmillan have given her tremendous support throughout her treatment and continue to do so.
In the UK alone one in three people will be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime and over 2 million people are currently living with the diagnosis of cancer. Macmillan is a UK charity providing the expert care and practical and emotional support which is changing the lives of people living with cancer today.
Big or small your contribution will help Macmillan Cancer Support help people living with cancer.
£51- can buy a liquidiser for someone who can't eat solid food as a result of their cancer treatment.
£143,273- could fund a Macmillan nurse for 3 years, providing emotional and practical help to people affected by cancer and their families.
