This year alone more than 43,000 men will be diagnosed with a male specific cancer in the UK. Testicular cancer being the most common in men aged 15-45. If spotted early, cure rates of 98% are possible and we wish to raise as much awareness within younger people as possible to minimise the risk of not spotting or ignoring the symptoms.
Orchid Male Cancer Charity help greatly in educating about testicular cancer and this is a cause we are fully behind. As we are all young adults, we understand that it is an awkward subject for most of our age group and wish to change this as catching cancer at the earliest stage possible greatly increases the chances of beating it!
We are three friends from Bristol, England and are planning to take a two thousand mile cycling trip through five countries in Europe to raise money and awareness for testicular cancer. We are hoping to raise at least £2000 and are working alongside 'Orchid Cancer Trust' to make this possible.
We plan to leave in July 2015 and will be travelling from Bristol to Ipswich, from here we will travel to the Hook of Holland and pass through Germany, Denmark and Sweden before heading back down through Germany and finally Belgium around September 7th.
The 'Bristol Bike Project' has already been kind enough to sponsor our journey by donating 2 bikes and we will be working closely with them in the run up to the tour!
Any donations and sharing of our campaign would be greatly appreciated and every little donation will make a huge difference!
