A Challenge Inspired by Friendship
Hi everyone,
Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page!
In my Keswick school days, Duncan stood out among the crowd as one of the most fit, active, and talented individuals. Even when diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), he refused to surrender to despair. Instead, Duncan and his family initiated a remarkable event to fund research into this incurable disease. His resilience and determination continue to inspire as he refuses to let MS hinder a fulfilling and active life. Learn more about the event and its impact here: https://www.10in10.org.uk/.
After over 30 years of absence, my family and I returned to the Lake District last summer, rediscovering the profound beauty and soul-lifting experience of walking in the fells.
This year, my son Zac and I are committed to completing the 5 in 5 challenge—scaling 5 peaks in under 5 hours—to support Duncan, his family, and the MS Society. In these challenging times, your sponsorship would mean the world to us. The Family 5in5 challenge, starting and ending at the Swinside Inn near Keswick, covers approximately eight miles, conquering five peaks—Causey Pike (637m), Scar Crags (672m), Outerside (568m), Stile End (447m), and Barrow (455m).
