There are less than 100 days to go now until the Loch Ness Marathon and while my knees are beginning to feel the strain as I pound my way round Polinar Dam, Burnhervie, Chapel of Garioch, Dubston (eek Dubston!!), and through Inverurie town centre on a Saturday afternoon dodging shoppers who think I am a nutter I sometimes have to remind myself why I am doing this and why its worthwhile.

On the 2nd October 2011 I hope to run my first ever marathon.  And as the joints ache and the will to live leaves me as I drag my way up Dubston Hill, I tell myself its for a good cause.  I am hoping to raise at least £500 for MacMillan Cancer Support and would be deeply grateful for any small donation.

Did I mention that I run up Dubston Hill?  That's got to be worth something!  :-)
