Story
Ian passed away without warning in December. We had nine wonderful loving and silly years together which have ended and all too suddenly.
Our summer revolved around helping at festivals and Awamu's festival Together is our favourite. Ian was known there as Tiny Gandalf. He spread positivity and magic wherever he went. Always ready to help with anything to make someone else's experience a better one.
.Awamu's work in Kampala has the same ethic. They actively look for vulnerable and sick childten on the streets and takie them to be cared for by foster families. There is no official social services in Uganda and the courageous women of the community often have to respond to crisis at very short notice. Awamu's fundraising and subsequent training enables child and foster family to earn a living.
