Story
Do you know what is the hardest part of learning to ride a bike? The pavement.
So, what am I doing (and why)? Cycling John O'Groats to Land's End - over 1,000 miles in 9 days this summer. My first day of riding starts at the crack of dawn on Saturday 12th June 2010 in Scotland, and finishes by cycling into the sea on Sunday 20th June in Cornwall. I am doing it to raise money for ParalympicsGB.
You may want to be there en route to cheer me on and hand over gobs of vaseline - that would be great too, but what you really can do to propel me is to make a donation through JustGiving - and all the money I raise will go to ParalympicsGB.
I am raising money to assist the ParalympicsGB team, and to change attitudes towards people with disabilities. Your support will enable the atheletes to have access to the support and training facilities needed to compete on a world stage in 2012 in London. For more information visit www.paralympics.org.uk
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
Thanks for your support!

The other day a pedestrian stepped off the pavement and into the road without looking and promptly got knocked flat by me as I was cycling by. "You were really lucky there," I said. "What on earth are you talking about! That really hurt!" said the pedestrian, still on the pavement, rubbing his head. "Well, usually I drive a car!" I replied.
