When you see a loved one who has suffered a stroke it's an experience you will never forget. We watched my father lay in his hospital bed for 3 and a half months, he was unable to communicate or enjoy any quality of life. On 31st of July at 2.30am he was finally released.

I want to take this opportunity using my ballot place in the London marathon to raise as much money as possible for this charity to help all sufferers’ of this dreadful condition.

Thanks to charitable donations, the Stroke Association has been able to make in preventing stroke, saving lives through better emergency treatment and revolutionising stroke rehabilitation.
