I've know the AHOY for a good 4-5 years. I started volunteering for them when I wasn't working and then brought my sons down to the centre to start sailing. I was asked if I wanted to start rowing and have been hooked ever since! This is a great opportunity for me to give something back to the charity that have given so much for me and my family and done so much for underprivileged kids and the community. The work of the charity has been recognised by HRH Princess Anne with visits to the centre.

There is so much history around the centre - did you know that Deptford was well known for building boats during the Victorian period? Did you know that Convoys Wharf is where the boats were built?

So please please PLEASE find it in your heart to keep this beautiful inspirational Centre afloat!
