Story

Journey through a spectacular area of wild moorland, tumbling waterfalls and sweeping mountain slopes in the Brecon Beacons. Trek for loved ones, and raise money so together we can find a cure.

In November 2020 my Dad’s Alzheimer’s became so much worse. He began wandering every evening in search of his ‘home’ . Sometimes twice a night now he leaves the house he has been in for 44 years and the wife he has been happily married to for over 50 years and paces the cold streets of Bedford. My mum picks him up outside his family home each time it happens and brings him home, hoping he will settle.

The pandemic has made it very difficult for my brother and I to support them both and it leaves us feeling hopeless and sad.  Together our families are trekking through the Brecon Beacons to try to raise as much as we can to support the Alzheimer’s society.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any donations. I am so grateful.

The donations I have already received have been added to this total.
