Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We both met 10 years ago whilst working as staff nurses on a ward which specialised in treating women undergoing surgery for breast cancer. This gave us both an insight into the devastating effects of this disease but also the extensive treatment options there are available to help fight it. As well as working in this field Tash also witnessed her sister-in-law Jo undergo surgery for breast cancer, followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy. As like so many women undergoing this treatment Jo faced it with strength and dignity and is currently almost 2 years in remission.
On 13th May 2017 at 12 midnight we, alongside many other ladies (and men) are walking 26.2 miles around London in our bras to help raise as much money as we possibly can to help Walk the Walk continue researching treatment options to help as many women as possible to survive breast cancer.
