Story
We are very please to announce that we made it successfully to the 1953 Everest Base Camp at Gorak Shep (5180m). We had a fantastic time and learnt a great deal about different cultures. There are some amazing views and the experience will not be forgotten.
Thank you for your generous donations!
Tia, Tracy and Tony.
Trek dates: 7th April - 2nd May 2011
Tia is treking to Everest Base Camp in April with a group of friends (We have called 'The Everest Young Explorers') and thought what a good idea it would be to raise some money for a deserving local charity also. This charity is local to Tia's school and has been nominated by her for this fundraising activity.
The children will be amongst the youngest UK children to participate in such an adventure, living amongst the villagers during the trek in tea huts, eating local dishes, visiting local schools, hospitals and temples and are thoroughly looking forward to it!

Any donation is welcome and those of Tia's class mates who have donated offline - I will add to this site and name them personally so no need to donate twice.
Thanks for donating!
Tracy
