Story
Hi everyone Tracy here, yes in my spare time am now trying to raise money for Macmillan Cancer. As most of you would no I lost my Aunty Carol in May of this year through Breast Cancer, it was a terrible time and it upset me so much seeing Carol suffer the way she did. Carol has always been like a 2nd Mum to me, and even if I didn't see her much the feelings were always there, I do miss her so much and only hope that after she passed away that the suffering ended. I still feel she is here, how it broke my heart!! There are lots of people in simular circumstances so I think it's important that we all try to be more Breast aware and help Macmillion with money so they carry out research. So below is what I have planned, with a very good friend of mine (like a Sister to me) Mel she is helping me. I have contacted Macmillion, and our local paper Watford Observer to get involved. (Carol is on the left, right is my Mum they are twins)
TICKLED PINK
Myself Tracy and a friend Mel would like to raise money for Macmillan Breast Cancer, after I Tracy lost my Aunty through this terrible illness. Five months ago I lost my Aunty Carol to Breast Cancer, and since has made me very aware of this terrible disease. I’m sure she will be watching me and be very happy that I am giving something back to the caring people that helped her through her last few weeks, love you Carol xx The idea is to make as many pink iced cup cakes as possible, and sell them and raise money and all proceeds to go to Macmillan. I will be selling the cup cakes at a local toddler group that I attend with local friends and neighbours on Thurs 22nd Oct. Please help us help Macmillan to raise as much money as we can, cakes will be 5 on a plate for a minimum donation of £1.50. Lets have some fun but not forget the real reason why we are doing this fund raising event Breast Cancer, PLEASE DO REGULAR SELF EXAMINATION. Thank you everybody for your kind donation and hope you enjoy the scrummie cakes!! Mel and Tracy x
