Fundraising for The Prince's Trust
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. The Princes Trust is such a worthwhile charity and I am truly honored to be part of their WLG Vietnam Challenge; although to be honest I am well and truly out of my depth here but I have committed to this 90km walk and I believe that you have to challenge youself in order to succeed.
My start in life was not what you would call ideal. I grew up in a difficult, neglected environment; moving constantly to and from deprived areas, I learnt from a very early age how to look after both myself and siblings.
School was not a necessity and I was still illiterate at 14 years old. However the fighter within me knew that in order to better myself I would need to work hard and keep at it. I am one of the lucky ones; I managed to find a mentor who believed in me and who taught me to always look forward and never dwell on the past - this is the key to my success. Some of the young people the Princes Trust support have absolutely no where else to turn and without their help these young people just turn into statistics. That is why it so important to me to help raise much needed funds to allow the Trust to continue their invaluable work.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. The Princes Trust Women's Leadership Group - Making a Difference
The Prince's Trust Women's Leadership Group is an innovative fundraising initiative with a dedicated committee of leading, influential women. Our members make a financial contribution to The Trust and commit to raising funds to help young women get their lives back on track.
Of the 50,000 young people The Trust helps each year, only 16,000 will be young women. And the majority of our donors are male. Our mission is to involve more women in our work and to motivate our female supporters to help us help more disadvantaged young women than ever before.
