Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

As many of you know I have enjoyed running on and off for several years. After a four year break 2012 was a turning point, I either continued to gather middle age spread or I took control and focused on staying healthy and fit. After losing nearly 2 stone I began to enjoy running once again and achieved personal best times in 5k, 5 miles,10k and half marathon events.

Working as a palliative care nurse at QA hospital I  have very close links with the Rowans hospice and see first hand the many good works they achieve in caring for palliative patients and their families. Details of the many wonderful services they offer can be found on their website www.rowanshospice.co.uk

My goal for 2013 is to beat my peronal best times in all distances through either club races or official events and raise as much money as possible for this very worthy cause.

Best times up to 2012

5k - 24.35 - February 2012 - GRR club time trial

5m - 40.23 - May 2012 - GRR club time trial

10k - 52.24 - Dec 2012 - GRR club handicap

10m - 1.29.46 - Oct 2008 - Great South Run

1/2 marathon - 1.54.43 - Nov 2012 - GRR helpers half

Full marathon - 4.36.54 - Oct 2007 - New Forest marathon

I have already entered several events this year culminating in The Portsmouth Marathon in December. Your donations and support will be hugely appreciated!

Love Tracey xx
