Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I'll be jumping out of a plane on April 22nd 2017! Eeek!
I've decided to take on this challenge because for a good while I've been meaning to fundraise for muscular dystrophy UK in support of my beautiful friend, Rebecca Brown who I have known since I was 4 years old. There is much emotion today, with the EU Referendum and at a time when we need more love and pull together than I can remember, today feels like the time to commit to making a difference in more ways than one - so i have.
Rebecca is a trouper, one of the most positive and inspiring young women I know. She wasn't even a teenager when she had to have an emergency heart transplant that saved her life. In later years, she had a kidney transplant courtesy of her mother being a match. Today, Rebecca battles muscular dystrophy.
Married to a wonderful man, Rebecca has a beautiful daughter and makes every day matter! My friend is the epitome of triumph over adversity. Taking on this 'Make Today Count' challenge for Muscular Dystrophy feels like an appropriate way to not only support this worthy charity, but also to say thanks! Thanks for being such an incredible and inspiring person Rebecca!
