Story
I'm taking part in the M74 Bike 'n' Hike over the new M74 completion on Sunday 22 May.
A random 14km (8.7 mile) walk over the new motorway before it opens to cars to raise money for Glasgow Women's Aid. They have been supporting women and children experiencing domestic abuse for over 35 years and do amazing work. Check out what they can do with little donations...
£5 could help purchase materials for a child to take part in a children's group actvity like baking or an arts and crafts project to gain confidence and encourage involvement with others.
£10 could help provide an emergency pack for a woman fleeing domestic abuse. In the majority of cases, women turn up at GWA with only the clothes on her back. This could help to provide essential items such as toiletries, nappies and food.
I'll be posting updates/pictures on FB and Twitter along the route so you get to experience it with me, but only I get the sore legs.
So if you can spare any money, even £1 (or £1.28 with Gift Aid!) I'd be forever grateful.
Thank you!
