Story
Every once in a while I do something way out of my comfort zone, this time its cycling 500k across Costa Rica. Around Christmas a couple of friends talked me into it. For those that know me well, you'll know that its going to be a challenge, not so much the cycling, (though thats not going to be easy) but the lack of creature comforts. We're camping and apparently Costa Rica is an insect lovers paradise - I DO NOT love insects, especially spiders!!!
However, on a more serious note, I couldn't think of a better cause. Over the past few years too many friends have have been touched by cancer, some who I'm delighted to say are in remission and others who have not been so fortunate. I'd been out of touch with some of my family for many years, and it came as a huge shock 3 years ago to discover that I'd lost one cousin at 31 and his brother had also had the disease but thankfully has beaten it. Cancer is a scary word and can affect any one of us, so please dig deep and help me raise money for this worthy cause.
