I’ve been running for almost two years now and have really fallen in love with the sport. I completed my first marathon in Manchester 22 and got a ‘Good for Age’ time. Anyway as I headed back to my hotel that day a young lady on the tram encouraged me to apply for a ‘Major’ I didn’t have a clue what she was on about because it was all new to me at that time. Anyway I decided to apply for Boston and also London, I couldn’t quite believe I got offered a place in both, so it’s an honour and a privilege to be taking part in two world majors in a space of six days too…..which is a massive deal and challenge for me, so that’s why I’ve decided to raise as much money to the charity ‘Cancer Research Uk’.  I’m hoping the money I raise will help towards a breakthrough into this awful disease and help save many lives.
