Story
Last year, food banks in our network provided more than 1.6 million emergency food parcels to people in crisis. More than half a million of these went to children. It’s not right that people can’t afford the basics. With your help, we can help end the need for food banks. As a nation, we expect no one should be left hungry or destitute. Illness, disability, family breakdown or the loss of a job can happen to any of us. With your help #ThisCanChange
Frustrated by restrictions on their cycling activities, Susan and Fiona Walker and Fiona Wallace are going to ride a virtual Tour de France over the weeks of Lockdown.
That's a target of 2,200 miles between us - all to be ridden on turbo trainers so we stay on the right side of current staying home guidelines.
It will be a challenge, but on the plus side - no hills and it doesn't matter if it rains.
Please help us raise money for this very worthy cause. Sadly, it is very likely that more and more people will depend on food banks during and probably even more so after the coronavirus situation. We feel by doing this fundraiser, we are doing our bit to help those who will most need it.
