This page has been created by the Stokes family to raise money for the Ty Olwen Trust in the memory of Tony Stokes who died peacefully on 22^nd January 2020. Ty Olwen is a specialist palliative care unit based in Morriston hospital, it’s partly funded by the NHS but still requires an annual £500,000 in extra donations to provide the service that the patients and their families deserve.

As a family we've experienced first hand the dedicated and sensitive care Ty Olwen provided for Tony. Tony was an inpatient in Ty Olwen on 4 separate occasions over a period of 11 months receiving pain management treatment along with getting specialist advice and support in his own home from the community team. His stays as an inpatient were always as warm and comfortable as possible and we cannot thank the doctors, nurses, district nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, kitchen and domestic staff and dedicated volunteers enough at what were such difficult times.

Ty Olwen relies on donations and it will really make a difference, at least 95p of every £1 will go directly to patient care.
