Story
Believe it or not, I sleep out in winter for fun - in Wales, Derbyshire, and the Lake District. I've got good gear, a warm home to come back to, and it is wholly my choice.
The homeless in Cambridge and the refugees in Calais have no choice; they face the bitter and inevitable reality of a winter spent on streets, waste land, and industrial estates, without shelter, enduring hostility and even physical attack.
I can't conceive of what that is like; all I can do is to try to help through fundraising and awareness-raising, which is why I am doing this.
