Triathlon attempt

A few months ago, I decided in a moment of madness, mid life crisis and quite possibly after a few drinks I was going to do a sprint triathlon, I have no idea where this came from, I have never been particularly any good at any sport so the combination of taking part in three different events, each one straight after the other in my forty second year is going to be a big challenge for me.

The event being held on the south coast at Seaford this summer is made up of a  750 metre sea swim followed by a 20km bike ride and finishes with a 5km run.

You can find out more about the event taking place on the 14/08/10 and the results here - http://www.fun2tri.co.uk/Southcoast-new/index.htm

To get me through the pain and boredom I am going to face in my training, it would help to know I was going to be completing this by raising funds for a worthwhile charity.

So far I have managed a few park runs  mainly at the Croydon event 'Roundshaw Downs'  Park runs are a great way to start running and keep it going, have a look at their website for more info about them.

I  have only been to the pool once in the last few years, I wouldn't even know where to go to get a wetsuit, I also need to buy a bike as my last one was stolen, so my training plan will need to be put into place very soon.
