Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  I'm taking part in the 2012 Inter-Livery Swimathon as a member of The City of London Solicitors' Company team to raise money for the Lord Mayor's Appeal 2012.

This year's Lord Mayor's Appeal is entitled 'Fit for the Future'.  It aims to promote better health opportunities for all, including those from some of the UK's most deprived areas.  The primary appeal beneficiary is Barts and The London Charity on behalf of the Trauma Unit at The Royal London Hospital, which treats patients with injuries resulting from road accidents, falls, assaults and gun and knife crime.  Money raised will also be donated to a number of charities, some of which aim to relieve poverty and hardship, and other provide young people from deprived areas with new sporting opportunities such as rowing.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.  You can find more information about the swimathon and the charities we're supporting at http://www.lordmayorsappeal.org/Event/Detail/The-Inter-Livery-Swimathon-2012.

With best wishes

Tony
