Story
In 2017, at the age of 8, I undertook the first of my personal challenges, completing the Hadrian's Wall walk in four days, supported by my dad. Two years later (2019), I set off on my second challenge, and completed the three national peaks in three days.
Both challenges saw me raise a total of £2000 for the Born Free Foundation who work tirelessly to ensure that all wild animals, whether living in captivity or in the wild, are treated with compassion and respect. They work across the world to preserve, protect and rescue wild animals in need – finding Compassionate Conservation solutions so that humans and wildlife can co-exist peacefully.
At 13 yo, 2022 see's me attempt my third challenge, Everest Base Camp, which had originally been scheduled to take place in 2021, having been delayed due to the COVID pandemic. The hike to EBC is 5400m (17,598ft) and is expected to take 12 days. This is the biggest challenge I have attempted to date and any support you can offer to help me, to help BFF take action and Keep Wildlife in the Wild, is hugely appreciated.
Thanks for reading my story,
Tom
