Tommy Banks, Adam Patterson, Gav Watt, John Thornton & Ollie Lewis will be running the Yorkshire Tough Mudder on the 8th September 2013. Tough Mudder events are described as 'probably the toughest event on the planet'. Tough Mudder events are hardcore 12 mile obstacle courses designed by Special Forces to test your all around strength, stamina, determination and camaraderie. Our team name is 'Fud Muckers' and we are all in training to try and complete this event as quick as we can! 

We will be raising money for Chrons and Colitis UK. I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in 2007 and battled with the disease for 2 years. Finally managing to get back to work after 3 major operations. Now im getting back to the fitness levels I had before the illness it seems the right thing to do to compete in this event and prove to myself that I am over it.  

I am really grateful that my team mates have chosen to raise money for Chrons and Colitis UK. We have all been mates for years and hopefully we can help eachother through the event. 

10,000 of the 18,000 people who will be diagnosed with Colitis in the UK this year will be fit young people between the ages of 18-30. The same demographic as most of the guys who will be running at Tough Mudder Yorkshire. So hopefully we can raise some cash and a little bit of awareness.  Thanks for reading.
