Story
Thank you for supporting my fundraising. I am running the 2024 London Marathon in aid of Macmillan Cancer Care.
In spring 2023 my father was diagnosed with mantle cell lymphoma, a rare form of cancer. This was, and continues to be, a big shock to him and our family. The ‘big C’ is such an unknown and my fathers treatment to date has been draining physically and emotionally for him. He is blessed with a supportive wife, family, and friends from all over the world, but also with wonderful doctors and nurses. At a time of great vulnerability and heading into a real unknown, the immediate availability of a MacMillan nurse has been a real comfort and I’m so happy to have the opportunity to raise money in support of their work.
Macmillan gives people with cancer everything they’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are Macmillan’s worries. Macmillan’s doing whatever it takes. But without your help, Macmillan can’t support everyone who needs them.Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure.
