Story
Hello there my awesome-o friends and family!
It's been a horrific winter to train for the Brighton Marathon but I'm not complaining - well I ran 20 miles on Sunday so I'm moaning a bit about that. As I have run through the streets of London town in the wind, rain, snow and ice I've been driven by the fact that I have met so many people affected by a blood cancer over the last few years that being sponsored to run about is the least I can do.
Now I know I have done a marathon before, so to mix it up a bit I will be dressing up as a big banana. Why? Because I want to raise as much money as possible for people like Jack. Click here to see his video...
So myself and a Matt Lawless from work are running in the first ever Brighton Marathon on 18th April. As you probably know, Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research are kind enough to give me a place to go during the day and work.
You may not know that they invest around £20 million a year into life-saving research. Someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer every 20 minutes in the UK and it is the most common cause of cancer death in the under 40s. So please help us beat blood cancers and donate whatever you think I deserve.
Thanks for reading my page and everyone is more than welcome to come along to Brighton to cheer me on!
Cheers
Tom "Charity Running Man" Whitehead
