By the end of the day on Saturday 28 January 2017, I will have short hair and be clean shaven!

The Bath Academy of Media MakeUp were searching for a long haired full-bearded man to be transformed by Peter Swords King and they picked me.

Known for his work on The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, amongst many others, Peter will be taking a rare day away from the film set to demonstrate his barbering expertise by taking me through 8 historical restyles. My transformation will be photographed stage by stage, giving me a record of this momentous day which I'll be able to share with those who are interested.

I'm raising money for YoungMinds - the UK's leading charity championing the wellbeing and mental health of children and young people. Driven by their experience, YoungMinds creates change so that children and young people can cope with life's adversities, find help when needed and succeed in life.
