Story
My family have always been supporters of cancer charities, with my Dad having run the London Marathon twice to raise money for CLIC Sargent, and my Mum and Sister having run the Race for Life for Cancer Research in the name of a family member that was lost at a very young age.
It is something I have always wanted to do, to push myself to the limits of what I can physically and mentally do, to raise money and to make a difference to those affected by cancer, just like what the other members of my family have done. So when I was informed of a close friends family member being diagnosed with cancer, and that he wanted a team of us to take on Tough Mudder to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, it was not something that I thought twice about.
I am proud to say that me, along with a number of my closest friends will be taking on the Tough Mudder South West course on the 22nd August 2015 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Tough Mudder is a series of hardcore 10-12 mile obstacle courses designed by the British Special Forces. It isn't all about timings and finish placings though, it is about teamwork and camaraderie and helping your team and others through one of the toughest assault courses. The main thing we want to do however is to raise money for a fantastic cause and make a difference to those whose lives have been affected by cancer. I would like to thank you for visiting mine, and my friends JustGiving pages. We appreciate anything that you can donate, no matter how big or small, and we promise we will put 100% effort into training and completing the event on the 22nd August, to make everyone who has donated proud and to hopefully have raised a significant amount of money for a great cause.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
