London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·

There are 14.7million people – that’s more than one in six – in the UK living with a neurological condition. Here at the country's leading neurological centre, we’re passionate about supporting the hospital to help improve the lives of patients through treatment and research.

Story

Hello there,

On 3rd October I am running the London Marathon (delayed from 2020!) for the National Brain Appeal. I would really appreciate your support!!

In 2015, one of my closest friends Dan Bumpstead suffered a complex and life-threatening brain condition. His survival and subsequent recovery has only been possible due to the cutting edge technology and world class care that he received while at The National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery (UCH).

In 2018, Dan asked if I would run a half marathon with him to raise money for the National Brain Appeal, a fantastic charity that funds the kinds of advances in neurology and neurosurgery which helped to save Dan's life. This year i would like to step it up a notch both in terms of distance but also fundraising!

Any support would be much appreciated!!! (and help keep me motivated during winter training!)

Thank you!
