We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my just giving page,

During the last few months I have a close family member who has been effected by cancer,

I was overwhelmed to find out that in the UK 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.

For me it is important we keep supporting in research, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer which has and can continue to help save millions of lives.

This is why I have chosen to fundraise for Cancer Research UK and will be competing in 2 events, The Birmingham Half Marathon in May and an event called HYROX in October,

Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving lives through research, influence and information. Cancer Research UK supports research into all aspects of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Information about the Events -

The Birmingham Half Marathon (13.1m) course will take me around Birmingham's iconic landmarks on the 07th of May.

Whilst HYROX is a multifunctional fitness race consisting of an 8km run with a functional fitness discipline split between each kilometer.

1) 1000m SkiErg

2) 50m Sled Push (152kg)

3) 50m Sled Pull (103kg)

4) 80M Burpee Broad Jump

5) 1000m Row

6) 200m Kettle Bells Farmers Carry (24kg)

7) 100m Sandbag Lunges (20kg)

8) 100x Wall Balls (9Kgs)

The HYROX event will take place on the 21/10 at the NEC in Solihull.

Thankyou for your support.
