Story
Thanks for visiting my London Marathon fundraising page. On October 2nd 2022 I'll be running 26.2 miles in an effort to raise money for a worthwhile cause which is very close to my family, The Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB).
My uncle Richard has relied on the services provided of the RNIB since losing his sight over 20 years ago. From a young age I remember visiting his house where he would have the news playing on his hi-fi, listening to the latest audio book on his tape player or telling me about his latest adventure out to play golf. These examples were all made possible through the support of the RNIB, which has allowed him to continue to lead an independant and fulfilling life.
Over 2 Million people in the UK are living with sight loss, with 250 people starting to lose their sight every day. Many face isolation and depression adjusting to their new circumstances. With your help, RNIB can be there when people need them most, support independent living, create an inclusive society and prevent avoidable sight loss.
Any money you're able to contribute towards my fundraising efforts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Tom
