Story
Salaam,
I will be climbing Pendle Hill on 2/09/2023 to help raise money for the renovations and upkeeping of the Dawat-e-Islami education centre in Bradford situated on Harris Street. This walk climbs to the summit of Pendle Hill in Lancashire, (557 metre/1,827 ft summit).
Faizan e Attar BD1 (the Madrassah at which I am the headteacher) has been serving the community with its classes for the previous 20 years. In these classes, students learn a vast range of sciences which include; Qaida, Nazira, Hifz and Fiqh.
This Madrassah has taught thousands of pupils the art of reciting the Quran and also assisted 38 students in completing its memorisation. These services have been provided free of charge. The average number of students in our classes is 11 and all of the teachers are fully qualified, DBS cleared, safeguarding accredited and proficient in Arabic. Some classes also have teaching assistants to assist the teacher by catering for pupils with learning difficulties.
At this site, the works currently taking place are:
- 150 madrasah children studying free of cost being taught by qualified teachers.
- Hifz Classes
- Sisters weekly gathering
- Aqidah/Fiqh class (Age 13+)
- Full time sisters Alim course free of cost
We have reached FULL capacity and therefore would like to expand the work that is currently taking place.
Future Plans
- Madrasah capacity to double
- Part time sisters Aalimah course
Allah Almighty has said: "O son of Aadam! Deposit something to me out of your treasure, it will neither burn, sink, nor be stolen. I will give you a full return at that time when you will be very needy of it."
(Shu’ab-ul-Iman, vol. 3, pp. 211, Hadees 3342)
May Allah Almighty reward you in both worlds for taking time out. May the Almighty reward you further once you have made your contribution 😀.
جزاك الله خيرًا
