We are raising money for Oakhaven Hospice in memory of Tina Britton (1972-2021).

Tina was 47 years old when she was diagnosed with a Grade 4 Brain Tumor in February 2020. Despite undergoing radiotherapy and chemotherapy all through lockdown, and with a smile on her face, in December 2020 Tina’s health took a turn for the worse, and we had to make the difficult decision to move her to hospice care. 

We will never be able to thank Oakhaven enough for the care they provided Tina in the last six weeks of her life. They managed to achieve things we didn’t think would be possible- getting Tina a hot bath, giving her pamper mornings and even dying her hair for her.

Everyone who knew Tina knows that being cared for didn’t come naturally to her - she always wanted to be the carer - and Oakhaven were able to get her to accept being cared for in a way no-one else could have managed. Tina was treated with dignity, respect, love and care and they were able to give her the best possible death.
