Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page and read my story. What little story there is. When I turned 40 in 2010 me and Chris decided we were going to kick our butts into a healthy living. So we gave up smoking and took up running.
We managed to get charity places for us both in the 2011 Great North Run and as we enjoyed it so much in 2014 we decided to do it again.
Since then we have become quite fit and I decided I needed a new challenge. That challenge being The London Marathon. So I have managed to get a place in it this year and I am going to also try and raise a few pennies for a brilliant charity, The Matt Hampson Foundation. Quite poignant at this moment in time (during the 6 nations), as this was set up by a young man who broke his neck in a scrum whilst training for England U21s in the six nations in 2005 and became quadriplegic. The foundation helps people injured through sports.
If you would like to read more about Matt Hampson and the work he is doing go to http://matthampsonfoundation.org/
So now I am currently in training but I am not planning on breaking any records. I just want to be able to complete the course and hopefully try to enjoy it.
