Story
I'm a Mum of two fabulous kids and I just had to take part in this 10 mile sponsored Midnight Walk to raise money for this truly worthy charity.
The Richard House Midnight Walk is a 10 mile route, starting off at London City Airport were we'll be checking in to our adventure! We'll then loop around, passing King George V and walk along the Thames, for a beautiful view of the city by night, passing West Silvertown and up towards East India.
After the fresh river breeze we'll loop up and around Canary Wharf and make our way back to London City Airport. Every three miles we'll experience being in a new destination, first we'll be stopping off in Egypt - think Pharaohs and pyramids. Then we'll be walking our way to India - think glittering saris and sweet mango lassie.
Our final destination, before we check back in at London City Airport, will be the Caribbean, can you hear the reggaeton already?
Richard House (www.richardhouse.org.uk) London's First Children's Hospice - is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year. Richard House is a purpose built children's hospice in East London.
Our core purpose is to accompany families with children and young people with life-limiting conditions or complex healthcare needs, during the child or young person's journey through life to death, creating positive experiences along the way - which become good memories for the future.
Our services are wide-ranging, completely free to families and tailored to our multi-cultural community. We need to raise £3.1 million each year to keep Richard House open.
