Story
Team Badly Drawn Pets York are reuniting to raise much needed funds for Keep Your Pet.
It’s time to once again put the “fun” back in fundraising…
How does it work?
Quite simply, if you donate £10 to Age UK York, we’ll draw your pet. (£10 for each pet you'd like drawing).
For an extra £5 we can even add your personal message to the bottom of the creation, or the side, or even the top, (there are simply no limits to our creativity, and we promise to use our best handwriting for this).
The catch?
Well.... most of the artists can't really draw.......but what they lack in artistic ability, they make up for in enthusiasm.
What are you waiting for?
We have a pool of ‘crack’ volunteers standing by with sharpened crayons and coloured pencils, eager to turn your animal into a timeless work of art (or at least make you laugh). There will be no attention to detail and you may not even recognise your pet from the drawing… There is a very slim possibility (amost nil) that your pet will be drawn by one of our extremely talented artists, but we’ll be honest… you’ll probably get someone who is really quite hopeless. You will however, get a dodgy picture and the warm fuzzy feeling that comes from having supported a really good cause. :-) What's not to love?
TO SUBMIT YOUR PHOTOS FOLLOW THESE STEPS:
1. simply donate £10 on this page.
2. include your pet’s first name and your surname as reference, (choose the friends and family option please); and then
3. email a picture of your pet to KYPFundraising@ageukyork.org.uk, again using your pet’s first name and your surname as reference.
The reference is important as it enables us to match up your photo and payment. Just imagine if you received a portrait that you just didn’t recognise… Oh wait….
4. if you've paid extra for a message, please also include the wording in your email.
Once we’ve had confirmation of your payment and we have received your photo by email, our team will then work their magic and we will reply by email with a picture of your homemade ‘unique’ masterpiece as soon as we can. You can then print your work of art at home. If you would like it sending out we can arrange this but there will be an additional cost for postage.
Please bear with us; it will be a minimum of a week before you hear
from us.
There’s no limit to how many drawings you can purchase; the more donations we receive, the more we can help Keep Your Pet with their valuable work. Of course, if you feel compelled to give more than asked, we’d be so grateful for your generosity. Our supporters are truly the best!
The really brilliant thing about this is that you can buy a ‘portrait’
(using that term loosely) as a gift for a friend or family. We really can’t
think of anything we’d rather receive.
We can promise nothing other than to make no apologies for how badly drawn your pets will be!
