Cycle London to Paris June 2011 · 24 June 2011
On June 24th – June 27th I will be cycling from London to Paris, covering around 300km in just three days to raise money for The National Autistic Society (NAS).
I need your help!
Many of you know that I recently spent 15 months working with the NAS. During this time I had the chance to see first hand the devastating and lifelong impact that autism can have on people with the condition and their families.
But I also had the chance to see the real and critical difference that the NAS makes to people affected by autism. Visit www.autism.org.uk to find out more.
I hope you can support me and this great organisation.
Thank you,
Tim
Autism is a lifelong developmental disability that affects how a person communicates with, and relates to, other people and the world around them. It is a spectrum condition, which means that, while all people with autism share certain difficulties, their condition will affect them in different ways. Some people with autism are able to live relatively independent lives but others may have accompanying learning disabilities and need a lifetime of specialist support. People with autism may also experience over- or under-sensitivity to sounds, touch, tastes, smells, light or colours.
The National Autistic Society is the leading UK charity for people with autism (including Asperger syndrome) and their families. They provide information, support and pioneering services, and campaign for a better world for people with autism.
JustGiving allows you to donate simply, quickly and securely. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
