We help blind veterans to discover a life beyond sight loss

Story

In World War 2 my granddad Gerry Brereton was blinded in an explosion fighting on foreign shores.  This put pay to his potential football career (he'd played for Derby County before the war) but he could still sing a pretty good tune and had a huge hit with 'Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me'.  He had a fantastic life and has inspired me in so many ways.

From the time he was blinded he was looked after by St Dunstan's and when he died St Dunstan's didn't stop looking his wife, my nan Kay Brereton.  So that she could be closer to family St Dunstan's purchased a property in the same village as my mum and dad and my nan had moved in just months after my granddad has passed away.

St Dunstan's have done so much for my family over the years and this is my little way of giving something back to them.

Your support (and clearly money) will be well received.

Thank you.
