As may know, mum had been suffering from various serious ailments for some time.  However her final illness was on Wednesday 23 September, and when rushed into hospital she was diagnosed with serious bleeding to her brain.  She was initially given only hours to live but astounded everyone treating her by surviving for a number of days.  Mum has always had such a strong character and this showed in her strength to survive for much longer than expected.

We are relieved that her passing was peaceful and painless and although she did not gain consciousness, we were all able to be by her side during that time.

We would hope that in lieu of flowers or if you would like to donate, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society.   As you will no doubt be aware Dad has been suffering from Alzheimer's for some time and Mum’s wish would be to support their work in whatever practical way we could.
