Story

Blaire - a lovely and much loved son and brother, and flat mate and closest of friends to Connor and my son Daniel, took his life less than a month ago. I found myself taking someone's place in this marathon, and running for PAPYRUS seemed a good way to mark Blaire's passing in a positive way.

"PAPYRUS is a national charity dedicated to the prevention of young suicide. It was founded in 1997 by a group of parents who had a lost a child through suicide: parents determined to do everything possible to save other families and young people from a similar fate".

The marathon is now run – I finished in 4.19 – delighted – but more to the point really amazed at the generosity of Blaire’s wider family and friends, in Aberdeen and Edinburgh. (And do visit the Papyrus website). He really was very loved. And big thanks to my friends, relatives and colleagues too.
