Back in 2020 when everything was going a bit crazy Ruth was also battling severe pain & swelling joints. She never complained (still doesn't) & tried her best to deny that there was a problem, she's a better nurse than a patient 😂. After increasing problems & eventually lots of tests she was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Ruth continued to put everyone else first, our young family, me & her nursing job, even going back to University during this time to further her career & become an amazing Nurse Hysteroscopist. Her grit & determination combined with grace is beyond inspiring, she is always trying to make sure that the diagnosis doesn't hold her or any of us back, even when the pain is clearly horrible & the side effects of her medications almost as bad. We both want to raise as much money as we can for Versus Arthritis so that they may continue to help as many families like us as possible & continue their great work researching for the future. I want to run the marathon well in honour of Ruth, make her proud & raise as much awareness for this charity as possible. Thank you for supporting us!
