Story
Hello everyone,
My name is Tim and until about 3 years ago I was pretty oblivious to the risks associated with allergies and lived in a bubble that suddenly popped when at a family party my 3 year old son Harrison (the hurricane) had a reaction to peanuts resulting in a paramedic and blue lights.
Since then my family have learned a lot more about how an allergy can be both life threatening and restrictive, mainly because of others around you who understand very little about it and even less about what to do if a there is a reaction.
I have been looking in to ways in which I could possibly help raise awareness and support research into allergies. This is when I came across the Nightrider and the 4 events they are hosting around the UK this summer, one of which is in Bristol which is just down the road from where we live.
I'm a keen (but not great!) cyclist and am always up for a bit of sight seeing so I decided that I would take part in all 4 events:
- London,
- Glasgow,
- Bristol,
- Liverpool
Each event is 100Km's during the night starting at 10pm, I'm hoping to raise over £2000.00 if I can with my employer Rubix Property Solutions (UK) Limited supporting me by covering all travel costs.
I would love it if you could support me in any way, even challenge me to beat a time, I'll give it a go!
