In 1997 my friend Mark died of cancer, he was still at university and a life so promising was cut short, he had battled cancer for some time and seemed to be recovering, but eventually this horrible disease stole a young life. Still in his short life he made an impact on many around him and is greatly missed. St Richards Hospice provided much needed care and support for Mark and his family and continues to offer essential support to many people affected by similar circumstances.
