Story
Lockdown and social distancing due to the Coronavirus outbreak has changed all of our lives and through this adversity, many people have been inspired to embark on personal challenges to raise much needed funds for charities whose finances have been badly hit by the loss of so many fundraising events.
Captain Tom Moore has raised a remarkable £31 million with 100 laps of his garden and in my own village, ex-Scotland rugby captain, Mike Biggar has raised almost £50,000 with 500 steps for NHS Charities Together (and counting, in both cases).
Shortly before lockdown was introduced I was saying to myself "I must get a haircut". Too late though and hairdressers all closed. Since then I have been unable to find anyone willing to cut my hair (or at least anyone who knows what they're doing!)
As you can see, the situation has now got out of hand (!!), so I decided the time has come for drastic action and on 12th May, I will allow my wife to shave my head to raise some much needed money for KidsOut UK, a charity I am a big fan of.
KidsOut UK is the Fun & Happiness Charity, giving hope and building confidence in disadvantaged children, whether they have escaped domestic violence or live daily in poverty.
I would love it if you are able to join me and show your appreciation for the wonderful work that KidsOut UK do, by donating to this wonderful cause.
Note: JustGiving include a "voluntary donation" checkbox as part of the donation page. If you add a voluntary donation, please be aware that this goes to JustGiving and NOT to the charity
