Story
I am running the London Marathon in support of WaterAid. Currently, 1 in 10 people don't have access to clean water, so whilst we can wake up and barely think about the shower we are having, some people can't go about their daily lives because of their lack of water. The lack of clean water can not only stop people from having safe drinking water but can also prohibit them from working or going to school and exacerbate poverty and inequalities.
Now, this is more important than ever as we are faced with a climate crisis, that will hit those areas of water scarcity worse than ever and threaten to set back the work of WaterAid by decades. That's why it is more important than ever to support the actions of WaterAid to provide everyone with access to clean water. So as I run my first marathon, please help me to fundraise for this amazing charity and support a crucial cause.
WaterAid is an international not-for-profit, determined to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere within a generation. Only by tackling these three essentials in ways that last can people change their lives for good. Clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene should be a normal part of everyone’s daily life. Without all three, people can’t live dignified, healthy lives. With all three, they can unlock their potential, break free from poverty and change their lives for good.
