"What is she doing now???" I hear you asking...…
Well, yet again, having welcomed the hundreds of cyclists into the National Arboretum in Staffordshire who had ridden 180 miles, through rain, wind and a little sunshine all for those who died. I decided that I needed to be in the group one more time and pledged to get back into the saddle and join these amazing riders and team from the East Midlands chapter for the Police Unity Tour 2019.
Cyclists from all over the country start from various locations on Friday 26th July. We will cycle up hills (Not looking forward to that bit) down through valleys (really like that bit) covering a total of 180 miles over 3 days.
On Sunday 28th July, all chapters from around the country will come together for the final leg. To be escorted into the Arboretum by the magnificent Blue Knights. We will join survivors, friends and colleagues, hopefully on a beautiful summers day in a service to celebrate the lives of those who have died.
The tour brings colleagues together. COPS brings survivors together.
COPS is an amazing charity. I have seen first hand through my position as Chair of Leicestershire Police Federation just how important all those involved are to each other. Whether it be immediate, direct or from a distance. They are there when they are needed. No restrictions, No Ifs what or maybe's. They are simply there...
We never know what is around the corner for us. We never know what the future will bring. But we do know that should the worst happen. Our families WILL be supported through COPS
Please consider pledging what you can afford to spur me and the team and of course to raise needed money to keep this charity going.
Thanks as Always,
Tiff
